It's tough out there for Prosecco. Most people know it as a simple sipper or a neutral fizzy that's perfect for mimosas and roof parties, but there is so much more. Down in a little pocket of land in the southern Veneto in a place that is hard to pronounce called Valdobiadene there is a famous hill called Cartizze where the Glera grape expresses itself the most. That is where this wine is from and if you want to know what Prosecco should really taste like, spend the $30 and enjoy the soft round bubbles and subtle hints of peach skin and pear mingling with honeysuckle tinged with citrus. You deserve it. Prosecco deserves it.
