Ca' del Baio 'Sermine' Langhe DOC Chardonnay 2017
Review
Langhe Chardonnay is a thing and it’s time to get into it. These wines have it all the depth of this grape that we have come to know but with guardrails in the form of acidity not letting the wine be steered off course. The result is a rich white wine with bracing acidity showing all kinds of aromas from lemon curd, peach and pear, to lean honeysuckle and jasmine. Then the acidity kicks in heightening the refreshing saline quality and wet rock vibes. The alcohol is a perfect 13.5%. Any more and it would lose all the things.
